ECF works across the sectors and regions where investors, government and communities intersect on projects which impact places.
Over the past six months our regional work in NSW has included community engagement strategies and activities for a proposal for a new mixed use precinct which will become a unique destination and include heritage buildings adapted for re-use, and for a proposed energy project to support the energy transition. We have also supported another client with communications, community consultation and reporting services on a proposal that will bring significant economic and social benefits to regional NSW.
We are also supporting both private and public sector clients in Sydney and Melbourne.
One of Sydney’s new major precincts in Western Sydney is edging closer to its Exhibition period as we continue to provide strategic advice on engagement with government at the State and local levels, advice on the media strategy and prepare materials including a revamped website to support the public exhibition of the proposal.
We continue to work with Sydney University’s infrastructure projects team providing strategic advice and communications support around governance.
For a major infrastructure project also in western Sydney we are providing strategic issues advice and communications and community engagement support on a proposal to expand the project to address the State’s looming waste disposal challenges.
In Melbourne, we continue to support Melbourne Airport on their major infrastructure projects with communications design and implementation. We are very proud to have one of our ECF team as part of the recent announcement of the approval of the new third runway project.
ECF has also been represented at several industry forums and events to ensure we engage with industry experts and hear first-hand from our political leaders and government executives on current social and economic issues, challenges and proposed solutions.
We have also been conducting our own research into issues that continue to dominate the headlines: AI in community engagement; the meaning and value of social license; and the housing crisis as well as continuing to investigate new methodologies and improve technologies to ensure our engagement tactics are at the leading edge of the practice. This is where our cross jurisdictional expertise and knowledge is particularly useful.
