Lindfield locals have their say on new residential proposals

ECF is proud to be putting community at the centre of planning, helping to shape the future of Lindfield through genuine, on-the-ground engagement. As part of our ongoing work in the newly announced Transport Oriented Development (TOD) Zone, we partnered with our client to lead community consultation for two proposed residential projects, located just a stone’s throw from Lindfield Station.
To make it easy for locals to have their say, ECF hosted two community drop-in sessions in March. The sessions brought together residents with developers, town planners, architects and the ECF team, creating a safe place for conversations, questions and feedback.
Importantly, the proposed developments include a dedicated component of affordable housing for essential workers like teachers, nurses, childcare workers and paramedics. These projects are designed to support local workers who help our community thrive, while contributing to more inclusive, sustainable growth in the area.
ECF led the end-to-end engagement strategy including promoting the sessions through targeted flyers, a dedicated project website, and community surveys, to managing the project inbox to ensure residents could easily access information and have their voices heard.
The hall was transformed into an interactive information hub, complete with display boards showcasing key project details, architectural concepts and landscaping plans. This set the scene for meaningful, one-on-one engagement between residents and the project team.
Our team captured community feedback through real-time conversations, surveys and feedback forms, ensuring every insight was recorded and shared with the client to inform next steps.
ECF’s support has been instrumental in facilitating dialogue between the project team and the residents, contributing to a more informed and collaborative process.
By facilitating these conversations, ECF is helping to shape a future for the area that reflects the needs and priorities of the people who call it home. It’s consultation with impact, driven by purpose, powered by people.
