Listening to Locals: ECF Leads Drop-In Sessions for Campsie Living
At ECF, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful engagement. That’s why ECF was proud to support genuine and open consultation for Campsie Living: two proposed residential developments in the heart of Campsie.
These proposals form part of Arada’s commitment to delivering high quality and community-focused housing in Canterbury-Bankstown. Among the first to be submitted under the NSW Government’s fast-track housing delivery program, these projects aim to address the growing need for more diverse and accessible housing options.
To place the Campsie community at the centre of the conversation, ECF hosted two community drop-in sessions at the Orion Centre in Campsie (opposite one of the proposed sites). The venue was transformed into an accessible hub of information, with display boards, project flyers, feedback forms, and surveys.
Community members were invited to attend to learn about the proposals, share their views, and speak with representatives from Arada’s project team, architects, designers, and a translator, to support inclusive participation.
ECF team members also took to the streets of Campsie to distribute flyers and have conversations with local businesses.
The feedback collected, both through in-person conversations and online engagement, is being shared with the project team to inform the next steps of the developments, ensuring community feedback and insights are central to the planning process and the final outcome of the project.
By facilitating open and respectful communication, ECF is assisting to create a Campsie that reflects the needs and values of its residents. This is consultation with impact, driven by purpose, and powered by community.
